Siemens seeks to supply equip for Russian power modernization

SOCHI, Feb 15 (PRIME) -- Germany’s Siemens expects to supply equipment to Russian power companies under a modernization program estimated at 1.5 trillion rubles, Dietrich Moller, president of Siemens in Russia, told PRIME on Thursday on the sidelines of the Russian Investment Forum.

“Of course. This program is very interesting to us. This is a strategic program until 2035, both modernization of thermal power plants and new construction projects are discussed three. This is a big program, big investments, and we hope that on the basis of orders of this program we will be able to load our local production sites here,” he said.

“We have 10 plants in operation here, and certainly if the number of orders increases, the depth of localization grows as well,” he said.
